A solid all-natural wax that helps seal and protect the skin. It also possesses antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties making it a good skin healer.
Incredibly soothing to the skin, buttermilk powder is richer in fats and emollients than whole milk.
CALENDULA INFUSED OIL (CERTIFIED ORGANIC)
Dry calendula flowers infused into a certified organic sunflower oil base. Calendula has natural anti-inflammatory properties and has been used throughout history to heal skin irritations. The healing properties of the calendula flower carry through to the oil.
A fine powder produced from dry calendula flowers. Calendula has natural restorative properties and has been used throughout history to treat inflammatory skin conditions.
Pressed from the seeds of the camellia plant, camellia oil has been used for centuries in Japan to nourish and condition the skin. High in oleic acid (an essential fatty acid) and rich in Vitamins A, B and E, the oil is soothing to irritated and dry skin. It is a very light oil that won’t block pores, making it ideal for baby massage.
Obtained from renewable raw materials, capryl glucoside is a sugar-based solubiliser used to mix oil into water. It is rated as a ‘0’ on the Skin Deep Database*. Capryl glucoside is Ecocert approved (Ecocert is an international certification body that approves raw ingredients and cosmetic products as being natural and/or organic).
Castor oil soothes and moisturises the skin, while creating a protective barrier against irritation. The oil also has healing properties thanks to its high concentration of ricinoleic acid (a fatty acid with antimicrobial properties).
A fine powder produced from dry chamomile flowers. Chamomile is known for its ability to promote cell regeneration, making it a perfect treatment for inflamed skin.
CHAMOMILE ROMAN ESSENTIAL OIL (CERTIFIED ORGANIC)
Roman chamomile is known for its ability to treat dry and/or inflamed skin. Therapeutically, the oil also helps bring a sense of calm.
A starch derived from the corn grain. As an ingredient in bath products it helps to soften the skin.
EVENING PRIMROSE OIL (CERTIFIED ORGANIC)
Incredibly conditioning and nourishing, evening primrose oil is especially suited to the treatment of dry, irritated skin. It is rich in fatty acids which help inhibit bacterial growth and defend against inflammation and infection.
Natural honey that has been spray dried into a fine powder. Honey has antiseptic and antibacterial properties, as well as being a natural skin cleanser and softener.
INFUSED WATERS (CHAMOMILE, LAVENDER AND ORANGE BLOSSOM)
Made by distilling essential oil into water. The properties of the essential oil carry through to the water in a diluted state.
JOJOBA OIL (CERTIFIED ORGANIC)
Regarded as the oil that most closely resembles human sebum (the skin’s natural oil), jojoba helps restore the skin's natural PH level and is incredibly soothing and moisturising. It is also rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties, making it an effective skin healer.
LAVENDER FRENCH ESSENTIAL OIL (CERTIFIED ORGANIC)
The benefits of lavender essential oil are numerous. In skincare it can help treat skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Therapeutically the scent has a calming effect that can aid relaxation and promote a restful sleep.
LIQUID SHEA BUTTER (CERTIFIED ORGANIC)
A liquid form of the 100 per cent natural butter. Shea is rich in essential fatty acids and helps to moisturise and repair the skin. It’s known to be effective in treating severely dry skin, including eczema.
MANDARIN RED ESSENTIAL OIL (CERTIFIED ORGANIC)
Mandarin essential oil is gentle and uplifting and helps promote a sense of wellbeing. Applied during pregnancy mandarin oil can help prevent stretch marks.
MARSHMALLOW ROOT POWDER
A fine powder produced from the dry roots of the marshmallow herb. The root powder has been used for centuries to treat skin inflammation and infections.
NEROLI ESSENTIAL OIL (CERTIFIED ORGANIC)
Also known as orange blossom, neroli essential oil has a calming effect of the body and mind. It is also effective in treating digestive issues, including diarrhea and colic.
OAT KERNEL FLOUR (CERTIFIED ORGANIC)
The ground kernels of oats. The fine flour is incredibly soothing and moisturising, making it an ideal treatment for dry skin conditions such eczema and psoriasis. It is also effective at easing itchy and prickly skin rashes.
OLIVE EMULSIFIER (CERTIFIED ORGANIC)
A natural emulsifier containing cetearyl glucoside and sorbitan olivate (both rated ‘0’ on the Skin Deep Database*). An emulsifier is an agent that helps bind water and oil together (in creams and lotions, etc).
PARFUM (CERTIFIED ORGANIC)
Parfum is the generic name for Naticide. Naticide is a vegetable-based fragrance which also acts as a very effective antimicrobial preservative. The use of a preservative is vital to ensure the safety of any skincare product that contains water. Naticide is approved as an organic preservative by Australian Certified Organic (ACO).
Commonly used as a food preservative, potassium sorbate is the potassium salt of sorbic acid (a natural fatty acid). It is also a popular preservative in natural skincare products because it is mild, non-toxic and non-sensitising.
PURE SWEET ALMOND OIL
Widely used as a massage oil base, sweet almond oil is moisturising and rich in Vitamins A and E. It is easily absorbed and leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth.
Purified water is often the main ingredient in skin lotions. Sterile water is always used over tap water to ensure products are free of nasty bacteria.
ROSE HIP OIL (CERTIFIED ORGANIC)
Packed full of essential fatty acids that help regenerate skin cells and repair damaged tissue, rose hip is commonly used to treat a variety of skin conditions, including eczema and stretch marks. It is safe to apply directly to the skin.
TAMANU OIL (CERTIFIED ORGANIC)
Pressed from the nuts of the tamanu tree, tamanu oil has been used for centuries in Vanuatu and Tahiti to treat skin ailments. It has been noted for its ability to speed up wound healing and promote the formation of new tissue.
TEA TREE ESSENTIAL OIL (CERTIFIED ORGANIC)
Research has proved that tea tree essential oil has powerful antifungal effects. This makes it ideal for treating persistent nappy rash (which is often the result of a fungal infection).
VITAMIN E NATURAL
Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant and therefore protects oils against rancidity (oxidisation). It also has the ability to cool and soothe the irritation of dry skin. Our Vitamin E is natural and non-GMO.
A natural thickener derived from xanthomonas campestris (a plant bacteria). It is rated a '0' on the Skin Deep Database*.
