In the world of corona virus, Baby Gift Works has your back.
Whether you wish to minimise your trips to the shops or can't leave the house due to home quarantine/isolation, we can do all the hard work for you. Browse our fabulous website from home, select what you need, or wish to send to some lucky parents, order and we will do the rest, ensuring that your beautiful items will arrive in only a few days.
If you are in home quarantine or do not wish to have contact with the AusPost courier, just tick the 'Authority to Leave Parcel in Safe Place' box at cart. Your order can then be left at your doorstep/safe place for you to collect once the courier has left.
Just to let you know, couriers are now asking customers if they have been in contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19 or if they are in self-isolation. If the recipient is in self isolation or a known contact, the parcel will be left and a signature will not be sought from the customer.
Communicating this via a note on your door (ie. "please leave parcel at door step...in self isolation") is also possible. Do make sure that you collect your parcel ASAP as shipping insurance does not apply once a satchel has been left by the courier.
If you are concerned about contracting the virus from touching the parcel this is highly unlikely as sick postal workers will not be allowed to continue working and so could not infect your parcel. Regardless, thoroughly washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds after touching any contaminated surface will remove the virus. The latest research indicates that the virus will only last on cardboard for 24 hours, plastics up to 3 days. So if you are concerned, you can just pop the satchel or box in a safe place for a few days and then safely open it.
Things are developing rapidly in this situation and we will keep you up to date if there are any changes to our service. At this stage, our business of providing beautiful gifts and essentials continues as usual. The only exception is a slight decrease in the amount of live support available by phone/Facebook/email as I am slowly dragged out of virtual retirement as an ICU RN to contribute my skills to the situation. At this stage this will only affect afternoons on Thursdays and Fridays, all orders will go out as usual and support will continue the rest of the time.
If you have any questions please let us know, we are always happy to help.
